HOW DO I CARE FOR MY BAG?
Each J. LOWERY item is made by hand by skilled artisans using premium materials.
Variations and patina are to be expected with love and wear. To maintain the beauty of your bag, avoid abrasive surfaces, water, and oils. Avoid handling your bag if your hands are dirty
or if you have just used lotion or cream.
For light cleaning, regularly wipe surface with damp, soft cloth. Leather treatments and conditioners can be used, however, we recommend testing products before applying to
the whole bag.
For deep cleaning, we recommend taking your bag to a leather care professional of your choice.
When not in use, store handbag in provided dustbag in a clean, dry area and keep out
of direct sunlight.
For additional questions or suggestions about the care of any of our products please
email us at hello@shopjlowery.com.
WHAT DO I DO ABOUT COLOR TRANSFER?
A selection of our bags are made using lamb leathers with a special finish that may result in some color transfer when worn against certain materials and textiles. While carrying a lighter hue of lamb leather we recommend avoiding contact with dark denim or dark fabrics. Inversely, while carrying darker hues of lamb leather avoid light denim or light fabrics as they could be subject to color transfer or staining.
WHY DOES MY BAG HAVE MARKS ON IT?
Color and grain variations are characteristics of natural leathers and are an appreciated quality that make each item unique. These variations should not be seen as imperfections, but as a defining quality of a handmade item.
