After spending time in Shanghai and New York honing her skills in branding and advertising, Hart set her sights on building a brand of her own—one of impeccable quality, meaningful designs, and purposeful style. And in 2016, HART Jewelry was born.

Who or what inspires you most?
HH: Oh man all sorts of things. Right now I am studying historic jewelry: Victorian love tokens, heraldry rings and memento mori amulets. I love combining antique elements with a modern spirituality and a dash of fun.
What is your favorite piece in your current collection?
HH: Our new enamel coin. On one side, it says love (amor) and the other is fear (metus). It’s a reminder that you can face every situation with either fear or love. Abundance or lack. Acceptance or rejection.

Favorite advice you've ever received?
HH: Let go or be dragged (we have a charm for that!).
Simple, but powerful advice for fellow female entrepreneurs?
HH: Clarify your vision. Stick to it. And surround yourself with people who believe in it.

Describe your style in 3 words.
How do you style your J. LOWERY bag?
HH: You really can’t get much chicer than green croc. I love that it’s an unexpected neutral. I tote mine to lunch meetings with vintage jeans, loafers and a chunky sweater. On weekends, it will jazz up a slip dress and motorcycle jacket on my way to an art opening.
